Designed and produced by the J.M. Martinac Shipbuilding Corporation, this 250-foot state-of-the-art fishing vessel carries 1550 tons of frozen tuna maintained at -12° and -30° Fahrenheit. A 4500-horsepower MAK Diesel main engine and a 140-inch propeller achieve an impressive service speed of 17 knots. With two Caterpillar 560-kilowatt generators and accommodations for 31 crewmembers, this 'super seiner' is one of the finest and most productive fishing vessels in the U.S. and World fleets.
