The Martinac 150' Trawler is built to carry over 900 tons of Pollack in six RSW-refrigerated cargo wells. The trawler's uniquely designed nets are pumped empty while still in the water. Forgoing the traditional on-board processing, the Martinac 150' Trawler delivers her catch 'wet' to the processing facility. She is equipped with a Wichmann 4,500-horsepower Diesel main engine supported by three Caterpillar auxiliary generators and one 1600-kilowatt shaft generator. Utilizing the latest trawl and fish-finding technology, the vessel requires a crew of only 15! The Martinac 150' Trawler is truly a testament to modern trawl design and construction. |
